About Us

Sugarloaf Wellness was founded from a deep commitment to health, education, compassion, and community in honor and memory of our Founder’s father and grandparents. Sugarloaf’s founder evolved from very humble beginnings on the Island of Montserrat – known as “The Emerald Island of the Caribbean.”  In her early adulthood, she earned a degree in Secondary Teacher Education inspired by her sixth-grade teacher Jerome Weninger in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and her passion for teaching and helping others.

Irish settlers arrived on the island of Montserrat in 1632 and many of the Irish culture, traditions, and foods which Montserrat remains, including the superfood Irish Moss aka Sea Moss, Irish potatoes, and St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. The national emblem is the Irish shamrock, which is also the official passport stamp. Sugarloaf’s beautiful logo was conceptualized from the shamrock and finalized with a brand identity that epitomizes the genuine character and principles of its founder.

Sugarloaf's wellness consultations and programs, and herbal and lifestyle remedies and products stem from generations of our founder's Caribbean heritage, recovery from health challenges, and extensive personal research and ongoing herbal medicine training, coupled with the work and teachings of national and international pioneers in the field of herbal medicine, homeopathy, and naturopathy.

Sugarloaf’s principal commitment to its members is responsible, ethical, transparent, and quality education. In addition to the resources available to our members, we are committed to gifting annual scholarships toward higher education to five (5) members or a designated family member beginning in the year 2024.
